YouTube competition shortlist announced

ICE youtube Military and Civil Engineering

The four shortlisted entries for the  ICE’s 2009 YouTube competition were annouced this week

The shortlisted entries will now face a public vote to see which will scoop the prize for best video and win a Flip Digital Camcorder.

The competition was launched on the ICE’s new YouTube channel – civilengineeringtv – in December.

It has attracted a number of entries from budding filmmakers, who have displayed varying approaches, techniques and use of equipment. The shortlisted videos are titled: 

  • Delivering Dreams

  • Military and Civil Engineering

  • Who and What is Civil Engineering?

  • Protecting Matlock

Themes included in the entries range across the civil engineering spectrum, from reconstruction in Afghanistan to local flood prevention schemes in the UK.

The winner will be announced on 13 March to coincide with National Science and Engineering week.
