Why spend five months and a good deal of money on procuring someone to oversee London 2012's construction, when you can ask the NCE readers for free?

In NCE on 22 June, you told us that the two favourites for the bid were CLM and Bechtel, and that the one thing that could hold the mighty Americans back was their price.

And this was exactly what happened, with both bids regarded as the best technically by the ODA, but CLM's proving a little less costly.
