WYG wins Maybole ground investigation

Transport Scotland has announced that WYG has been appointed to undertake the ground investigation to supply geotechnical information for the design of the new Maybole bypass, which the Scottish government has said will improve traffic flow on the A77.

“Earlier this month I was in Maybole to set out the preferred route for the town’s bypass and to once again hear the desire locally for this project to be progressed as soon as possible,” said transport minister Keith Brown. “Less than two weeks later, we are about to get important ground investigation work underway, giving us the detailed information needed to progress the draft orders later this year.”

The ground investigation is expected to start on site next month and take two months to complete.
