WSP wins place on Manchester transport framework

Transport for Manchester (TfM) has appointed consultant WSP to its framework contract worth between £35M and £80M, it was revealed last week.

WSP will provide transport planning and analysis, transport systems engineering, environmental consultancy and other transport related professional services for TfM.

The programme of work includes extending the city’s Metrolink system, building transport interchanges, developing public transport facilities and managing the highway network in Greater Manchester.

“WSP has been the UK market leader in transport planning, environmental planning, public transport advice and transport consultation services for many years now, and we are pleased to add this important framework to our portfolio,” said WSP director Mike Batheram.
