WSP wins Freedom Tower role

UK-based consultant WSP has been appointed structural designer for Manhattan's £1.2bn Freedom Tower, at the site of the 2001 World Trade Center terrorist attacks.WSP Cantor Seinuck is designing the 541m tall building for developer Silverstein Properties.The consultant's contract is worth £4M and construction will be completed in 2009.
