WSP announces 31% profit rise

NCE Consultants File top five consultant WSP today announced its profits had risen 31% and revenues 19% in the year to December 2006.
Revenue was £416.7M up from £349.1M in 2005; profit was £29.6M up from £22.6M last time.'Our order book has grown to £700M,' said WSP Group chairman David Turner. 'This includes more than 60% of our rolling 12 month target revenue, and we have a pipeline of attractive opportunities on the hoizon,' he claimed.He said international growth would continue to strengthen the business. 'I continue to foresee good markets prevailing across the world with particularly strong activity continuing next year in the US and Middle East, and in the property and environmental sectors generally.
