A labourer has died on the New Delhi metro, bringing the number of people killed while working on the site since construction began in 1999 to 13.
The worker was killed when he was hit by a falling steel beam. It is the second fatal accident in 10 days during work to expand the commuter rail system.
Three lines of the New Delhi metro system are in use but a number of other segments are still being worked on.
Six people were killed and 13 were injured at a section of the metro rail construction on July 12 when a metal and concrete structure collapsed onto workers underneath.
Three cranes collapsed at the same site the day after while trying to clear the debris. Six people suffered minor injuries in the accident.
