Video | Timelapse of US stadium construction

US Bank Stadium construction in Minneapolis

Construction of a US stadium has been captured in a timelapse video, showing 32 months of work in just three minutes.

Documenting progress between January 2014 and September 2016, more than 1M high definition images show the construction of the U.S. Bank Stadium in Minnesota, which hosts American football team the Minnesota Vikings.

Footage of the stadium’s construction, created by webcam technology company EarthCam, allowed more than 16M people to track the project as the venue was built.

The video was released to coincide with the opening of the stadium, which replaced the Vikings’ former home at the Metrodome Stadium, also in Minnesota.
