Turner & Townsend wins Dallas airport role

Turner & Townsend has secured a role on the upgrade of a US airport.

The consultancy will carry out estimating, cost management and scheduling duties at Dallas Fort Worth International under a $10.5M (£6.8M) deal.

Works scheduled to take place at the airport includes terminal refurbishment and expansion; creation of parking garages; and improvement of other infrastructure.

Dallas Fort Worth International has 1,850 flights per day and handles 63M passengers each year.

Turner & Townsend has worked on more than 140 aviation projects in 19 countries.

Turner & Townsend US head of aviation Tina Millan said: “We are honoured to be playing such a key role on this significant aviation programme.

“Our experience in leading complex programmes in live airports will help to deliver the ongoing capital programme while minimising impact on day-to-day operations.

“I’m delighted that we are now building momentum in the North American market. We look forward to applying our global expertise in Dallas, which is one of the most important air hubs in the world.”
