The Gallery | Major fire at Dubai skyscraper

These images show the dramatic nature of the blaze that ripped through a skyscraper in Dubai on 22 February.

They were taken from an apartment block opposite the 86-storey Torch building, which caught fire in the early hours of Sunday morning local time.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the blaze, which appears to have caused considerable damage to the building. There are no reports of casualties.

Completed in 2011, the Torch is 352m high.
