Ballast Needam has announced that it has successfully installed the last of 80 monopolie foundations for the Butendiek offshore wind farm in the German sector of the North Sea.

The foundations work for developer WPD was completed in less than four months.

Ballast Needam has said that work has now progressed onto installation of the transition pieces and this phase of the work has already reached the halfway stage.

Construction on the project is expected to be completed in June 2015.
