Network Rail Consulting has appointed a new regional director for the Middle East.

Jason Wasserman is to lead operations for Network Rail Consulting in the Middle East.

Wasserman is a chartered civil engineer who began his career at British Rail in 1990 before joining Carillion in 1995. He then moved to Siemens where he oversaw the company’s rail control and information business, a position that included managing 60 contracts worth over £120M.

His most recent position was at Capula where he led the systems integration team.

Wassermann said: “I’m looking forward to helping take Network Rail Consulting into a new and ambitious period of growth. Network Rail Consulting has a well-established consultancy team in the Middle East and my aim will be to extend the breadth and depth of the services that we offer our clients in the Gulf region.”
