Bam wins £210M Dutch roads contract

Bam has won a 15-year contract for the design, construction and maintenance of a major road project in The Hague.

Called Rotterdamsebaan, the new 4km road will link The Hague’s central zone to the motorway. It will include a 1.8km tunnel, which will run under a harbour and an archaeological site.

The joint venture consists of BAM Infra and BAM’s German tunnel specialist Wayss and Freytag Ingenieurbau. The construction will start in mid-2016 with completion due in 2020.
