Balfour wins £200M Hong Kong water park job

Ocean Park Water World

A Balfour Beatty joint venture has won a £200M deal to construct a water park in Hong Kong

Working with Gammon Construction, the job will involve the construction of the main building and fit out and installation of the rides and attractions. Gammon will carry out the mechanical and electrical services installation. The client is the Ocean Park Corporation. The year-round, all-weather park will be on the shoreline of Tai Shue Wan.

Covering an area of over 64,000 square metres, building information modelling (BIM) will play a key part in the construction.

“We are pleased to have secured this exciting development, where our expert capabilities and experienced team provides our client with the skilled partner they need to safely deliver complex projects,” said Gammon chief executive Thomas Ho.
