Arcadis and Motts win Sydney Metro job

Arcadis and Mott MacDonald have won the contract for underground station design and technical services for the second stage of the Sydney Metro project.

This stage is a 30km rail extension which goes under Sydney Harbour. It includes the design of six stations.

The JV, called Metron, also includes architects Foster + Partners, local architect Architectus and Robert Bird Group.

The whole Sydney Metro project is Australia’s biggest public transport project with 31 stations and 66km of new rail.
