Work will start this summer

Work will start this summer on cleaning up a heavily polluted, 120km long watercourse that cuts through the heart of the Saudi capital, Riyadh. The £155M scheme, designed by consultant Buro Happold, will involve removing 1.5Mm3 of illegally dumped waste which is clogging up and polluting the Wadi Hanifah river.
