Woe-verseas

I was gratified to see the bold headline I don't belieeeve it! (NCE 28 March 2002). We are now about to explode the myth that there is a skills shortage in UK civil engineering and demand that something be done to prevent age discrimination.

I was particularly perturbed to read that the UK government has permitted easier access to our home market for foreigners.

On the one hand they keep saying we need to employ our older engineers and then they let outsiders in. Would that happen in the USA?
