In the last week, judging visits for the British Construction Industry Awards have spanned the huge range of the vibrant and contrasting current output of building and civil engineering works.

Resurgence of Gateshead as a municipal centre continues with The Sage (pictured), offering a wide range of music and the arts to all from three contrasting theatres within one distinctive envelope. Judges also visited Gatwick Airport's new passenger bridge, Heathrow's airside road tunnel, a library in Brighton, a new primary school in Cheshire and a water treatment works in Chingford plus other projects, large and small.
