Winter of discontent

Letters

I note that Antony Oliver believes that global warming is definitely upon us because of his weekend golf in shirtsleeves during warm mid-November winter sunshine (Comment, 17 November).

Is it worth pointing out that November is in autumn not winter- Also I presume Antony actually contributed to global warming by travelling to the golf course by car.

For my part in preventing global warming I cycle to work.

However, I think the next Ice Age is imminent because today I had to wear a thermal vest for my journey in sub-zero temperatures under midNovember autumn sunshine!
