Wind doh!

LETTERS

In your report Energy review:

blowing in the wind (NCE last week) you incorrectly stated that Sir Bernard Ingham is the most prolific anti-wind power correspondent in the UK.

While you are correct to report that only 16 people write a quarter of all anti-wind letters, the committed individual who wrote 7% single-handed was, inconveniently, not him.

The full conference report will shortly be published at www. bwea. com and will include a recording of the reported 'angry murmur [which] rippled round the room' (which was clearly laughter) when I did not name Sir Bernard.
