Will putting up fees improve matters?

As a member of the Institution for nearly 40 years, I was interested to note that to halt the decline in membership numbers, it is proposed to increase the subscription by 30% over the next five years.

I work as an estimator and my tendering success rate has recently declined. I am now considering increasing my tender prices by 30% as a way of improving matters and ensuring my continued employment.
