Who's who (2 of 2)

WT Anchor Systems will be launching Grundtuben, a versatile mechanical minipile. Rapidly installed in virtually all displaceable ground conditions, without excavation, concreting or ground levelling, the minipile is able to accept loads up to 250kN immediately. A hollow steel tube, it is driven into the ground where presplit panels at two levels are forced open using an expansion tool. It can take tension, compression and lateral loads. It is suitable for platforms for masts and antennae, signals and overhead gantries, foundations for temporary buildings, in retaining systems, and piling for fencing and walls. Also on show will be the firm's range of Duckbill mechanical ground anchors.
