CONSULTANT WHITE Young Green is planning a major overseas push after completing a series of acquisitions across Britain.
It wants overseas activities to account for 10% of turnover by 2005 and plans to appoint an international director in May.
News of the planned expansion came as the consultant announced pre-tax profits up from £1.2M to £1.4M on turnover up from £16.4M to £19.9M for the six months to the end of December 1999.
During this period the company completed its national network of offices after buying three multidisciplinary consultants which between them have offices in Newcastle, Edinburgh, Belfast, London and Southampton.
WSP announced further overseas expansion when it released its 1999 results on Tuesday. The consultant has recently opened offices in Singapore, Poland and southern Ireland.
