Almost a third of UK government overseas aid donations go to management consultants, administration and double counting of debt relief, a report by charity ActionAid claims. Of the 0.7% of income most G8 countries spend on aid, the amount reaching the world's poor is closer to 0.07% it says. International development minister Hilary Benn has dismissed the report's findings.
