What the papers say - THE SCOTSMAN

News stand

The Scottish Executive is to spend over £1M to fund a new wave energy investigation centre.

The sum is part of a £6M funding package to extend research undertaken at the European Marine Energy Centre in Orkney.

Construction on a £130M rail link to the Scottish Borders region could be delayed because a householder whose home backs onto the planned line has not been offi cially notified. The project was delayed for six months last year when developer LandAspects failed to notify 100 property owners.
