What the papers say - THE OBSERVER


The government is expected to abandon its support for the Ilusu dam in Turkey after a report on the environmental and human rights impact of the project found it had failed to meet international standards. The report is 'very negative' on Turkey's response to claims that more than 70,000 Kurds in the south east of the country would be displaced.
