Researchers from the British Antarctic Survey have discovered that a massive Antarctic ice sheet previously thought to be stable could be starting to disintegrate. Its collapse would raise world sea levels by more than 4.8m.

'Standard' rail ticket prices have risen by up to three times the rate of inflation since privatisation according to a study by rail ticket expert, Barry Doe. The highest price rises apply to 'walk on' fares.

Chairman of the National Cycling Strategy Board, Philip Darnton said £70M needed to be invested in cycling in Britain. Britain spends just £1 per person per year on cycling, compared to £5 in Denmark.

Just 2% of journeys are made by bicycle in Britain, compared to 20% in Denmark.
