Australian contractor Multiplex has renewed its interest in UK property company Minerva. The firm, which is building Wembley Stadium, bid in the original auction but is now said to be poised to make a formal bid.

The Department of Trade & Industry has bowed to pressure from multinationals and trade bodies to water down new anticorruption rules for its export credit guarantees unit, ECGD.

The guidelines included requirements to give extensive anti-corruption warranties to cover all employees of all parties in joint venture deals.
