What the papers say - Evening Standard

News stand

Transport for London (TfL) and Barnet Borough Council are at loggerheads over plans to improve pedestrian access and traffic fl ow on the North Circular. TfL has devised a £27M scheme to install crossings and bus and cycle lanes at Bounds Green. It will also provide £4M for local authorities to prevent rat running. But the council argues that taking space away from cars would increase congestion and is calling for a much larger scale solution.
