As part of the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities, the Water Engineering & Development Centre and the International Water & Sanitation Centre are to implement an environmental sanitation clearing house or gateway site.

This aims to improve access to relevant information resources, including text documents, databases, networks and discussion groups. Organisations will act as regional and topic partners and will be responsible for identifying documents for inclusion. The broad subject areas to be covered include:

institutional frameworks, sociocultural factors, environment, hygiene and health, planning, technology, management (including operation and maintenance)and finance, monitoring and evaluation We would like to invite potential users to suggest which facilities or options they would like to see included in the gateway. Please send comments by the end of August, stating your area of expertise or interest.
