Project manager for the Skiff gas platform Paul Strowlger picked up the Civils top prize at last week's British Construction Industry Awards. Strowlger, of Shell UK Exploration & Production, collected the Civil Engineering Award from construction minister Nick Raynsford at a packed event. Full details on the project were in last week's NCE. Entry forms for next year's award's will appear in NCE on 22 February 2001. Chairman of the judges next year will be Stanhope chief executive Sir Stuart Lipton. Winning projects at BCIA 2000 will be described at 'The Best of British' special meeting at ICE at 4.30pm on 5 December.
