The second tunnelling contract on Hong Kong's pounds 5bn West Rail project was awarded this week to a joint venture of Dragages and Zen Pacific. The 3.6km Kwai Tsing contract will be built partly on reclaimed land at a cost of pounds 146M. Dragages won the first contract with Nishimatsu earlier this month and ground breaking took place on Monday.
