Well done, Greece!

I read with much interest the news articles and comment pieces on the Olympic Games (NCE 5/12 August, 2 September).

All fears, such as those expressed in your articles, were dismissed just after the opening ceremony. As you probably heard, International Olympic Committee president Jacques Rogge described the games as 'unforgettable games, dream games'.

As a civil engineer, I worked at and have first hand knowledge of several projects for the Athens Olympics. It is true that some projects were running late but during the last weeks a lot of effort was directed to complete these projects.

I think Greece should be congratulated for staging the most successful Olympic Games, the excellent transport facilities and the unforgettable feast that took place during that time.
