Wear red for RedR on 10 February

Engineering charity RedR’s annual “Wear Red for RedR” fundraising event will take place on 10 February, to help raise funds and awareness for the organisation.

Engineering firms and institutions across the world will be wearing red and organising red-themed activities to support RedR’s work, providing relief workers with the skills they need to make a difference and recruiting engineers to respond to disasters around the world.

In 2011 RedR raised a fantastic £20,000, which over the last eight months helped the charity train more than 6,000 aid workers worldwide and better prepare communities for when disasters strike. Demand for RedR’s training and services is set to grow, particularly as the Horn of Africa continues to suffer from appalling drought and famine.

RedR can supply promotional material, posters and balloons to interested parties. Individuals can contact RedRfor further information on email or telephone +44 (0)20 7840 6005.
