Wear Red for RedR 2008

International disaster relief charity RedR is holding its annual fundraising day on 14 February and supporters from across the engineering world will be getting involved to raise vital funds and increase awareness of RedR’s role in the humanitarian sector.

Engineering firms and institutions in the UK, Pakistan, India, USA and more will be wearing red and organising red-themed activities to support RedR’s work, providing relief workers with the skills they need to make a difference and recruiting engineers to respond to disasters around the world.

In 2007, employees of RedR’s patrons and corporate supporters raised an amazing £10,000 for Wear Red for RedR; a huge boost to the charity’s work.

RedR helps to rebuild lives by providing aid workers with the skills they need to make a difference. With global disasters becoming increasingly frequent, there is more demand than ever for RedR to train, recruit and support international aid workers.

RedR can supply promotional material, posters and balloons to interested parties. Individuals are encouraged to contact Tom by emailing tom.colborne@redr.org if they’d like to get involved.
