Waterloo Station

The new JLE station ticket hall is sited to the north east of the mainline station in the Colonnades; the old bus stand. This required a new bus stand and links to the rail station and the Eurostar terminal to be constructed. Originally the JLE station was to have been placed further west but this would have caused more conflict with existing users. The JLE station will cope with 15,400 passengers in the peak morning rush hour, the majority of whom will interchange from the overground commuter trains. But the JLE will also feed passengers into the Tube system via connections with the Bakerloo Line, the Northern Line and the Waterloo and City Line.
