Miller Civil Engineering preparing to lower the 75t cutting head of the 600t, 7.45m OD Herrenknecht Mixshield tunnelling machine into an 18m deep shaft at Hastings. The machine will bore a 1.6km long stormwater tunnel under the centre of Hastings as part of a £43M design and construct contract awarded by Southern Water.
