VOTING WITH THEIR FEET

Disaster relief efforts are taking on an unusually personal form for six RedR supporters who are preparing to do battle in next weekend's London Marathon. Techniker's Stephen Foster (centre left) and Franck Roberts (centre right) are the team mavericks, recklessly deciding to enter after a night in the pub.

Nevertheless, they are looking forward to the challenge. The Association of Consulting Engineers' Andy Walker (far right) can provide any necessary leadership, being a London Marathon veteran.

Arup's Nicola Adams (far left), who has been on two RedR assignments as a water engineer, should be able to manage water intake . They will be joined by Jenny Rigby, working in New York for the United Nations Development Programme, and late replacement Ian Piper.

The team has set itself a target of raising £6,000 in sponsorship. To make a contribution online visit www. redr. org.
