Vote betrays members' lack of commitment

Letters

I was dismayed by the inappropriateness of 'Big' in the headline to Georgina Whittaker's useful note on the recent constitutional changes.

The total votes both for and against the three motions represented about 10% of the membership. It was a 'small', though decisive, vote.

This suggests that the many complaints in your correspondence columns about the activities of the Institution are in part due to the lack of commitment to these activities by the members.
