Transport Scotland has released video footage taken by a construction worker showing cable installation on the Queensferry Crossing project.

The bridge is now set for completion in May 2017 and almost 70% of the bridge deck is in place, with the final deck lift expected to be undertaken in late autumn.

The work will entail the fine tuning of the entire structure including all 21,192 strands of all 288 cables to ensure the correct final loading and geometry is achieved.
