Video | Construction of world's biggest sandcastle

Caterpillar equipment has been used to build the tallest ever sand castle.

Seven Cat machines were used to create the 12.6m-high tower on a beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The project took 15 days, two Cat hydraulic excavators, a wheel loader, two mini excavators, a vibratory soil compactor, a track-type tractor, 734m3 of quarry sand and some water.

It is the latest in a series of Caterpillar short films to show the capabilities of the equipment.
