Unprofessional conduct

LETTERS

I joined the civil engineering industry with British Rail in the dark ages when women rose no higher than tracers. I am proud to say that I became a senior technical officer before leaving to start a family.

I never had the chance or desire to become chartered but did the next best thing and married a chartered railway engineer, whom I met at work. I have retained an avid interest in civil engineering, normally reading his NCE before he gets his hands on it.

But, what on earth was the pink monstrosity produced on behalf of a serious, professional, respected Institution? Could you see the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, or Accountants producing something which resembled a teen mag?

IKB would turn in his grave.
