United front needed on Millennium Bridge

Letters

I was incensed at the speed with which the architects managed to dismiss all problems with the London Millennium footbridge as engineering issues.

In the case of the London Millennium footbridge it must be extremely difficult to predict true in-service behaviour since it is the first of its kind. It is my opinion that all parties involved should have the spine to stand together in front of the media and suggest how they are going to work to resolve the problems rather than being the first to point the finger.
