Ultra-thin concrete floor slab design approved


Checking engineers last month approved the design of a new ultra-thin concrete floor slab used in the construction of a London hotel, a year after it was constructed. Tower Hamlets engineers for waited nearly two years for design and build contractor Multiplex to submit the design calculations for the Marriott Hotel in No.1 West India Quay for checking (NCE 15/29 December 2005).
