UK consultant to analyse how US bridges are affected by hurricanes


UK consultant HR Wallingford is to model how hurricanes affect US bridges in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Ivan. The work will be carried out with South Alabama University and the US federal highways administration. HR Wallingford will analyse why so many bridges suffered severe damage and recommend ways they can be repaired or strengthened.
