Two dead in warehouse explosion

Two firemen were killed as they tackled a major blaze in a fireworks depot that exploded yesterday.
The festival fireworks warehouse near Lewes, East Sussex caught fire in the early afternoon. A series of explosions injured 12 people and killed the two firemen.The family owned warehouse was occupied when the fire broke out but all were able to escape the blaze.The fire was declared a major incident by emergency services.Sussex police said it believed the firemen died in the first big explosion about an hour after the fire had started. The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
