Trio picks up award for Glasgow bridge

I wish to correct the opening sentences of the ICE News article 'Glasgow bridge picks up Saltire Awards' (NCE 13 December 2001).

Whereas the report records that the award was picked up by consultant Gifford & Partners and contractor Balfour Beatty, it was in fact awarded to the Scottish Executive as client, Glasgow City Council as designer and Balfour Beatty as main contractor.

There were a number of consultants and contractors working with Glasgow City Council making up an international team which delivered a complex engineering project safely and with minimum disruption to traffic on a river crossing now carrying 180,000 vehicles per day.
