Trevi Group win Shell Enviromental Excellence Award for Arapuni Dam

Trevi Group announced last month it has received the Shell Environmental Excellence Award 2007 for its work on the Arapuni Dam in New Zealand.
The soil consolidation and security enhancement work, which included secant micro-piling down to 90m depths, was completed by subsidiary Trevi Construction HK, with New Zealand firms Mighty River Power and Brian Perry Civil.The New Zealand Contractors’ Federation, in partnership with Shell New Zealand, gave the award for the company’s attention to protection of the environment.The dam is built on the Waikato River. It is the country’s longest river at 425km and is considered to be sacred by the Maori.
