Scottish transport agency Transport Scotland has launched a multi-service framework for ground investigation contractors.

The four-year agreement will cover a range of Scottish transport infrastructure projects including the A9 and A96 Trunk Roads Dualling projects.

Transport Scotland will appoint up to 10 firms to the framework, which could be worth £42M in total.

Projects will include:

  • boring and drilling;
  • trial pits;
  • sampling;
  • in-situ monitoring and testing;
  • geophysical survey techniques;
  • laboratory testing;
  • factual reporting; and
  • provision of digital data.

The deadline for responses is 8 August 2014.

Further information is available on the Transport Scotland website.
