Judging for all the 1998 British Construction Industry Awards except the international category was concluded last week with flying visits to four projects. The team landed between a cat's cradle of power lines and the elegant, cable-stayed Flintshire Bridge across the Dee before moving on to see the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. Ruskin Library at Lancaster University was the next stop before crossing the Pennines to set down beside Gateshead's Angel of the North. Winners of the BCIA will be announced during the awards dinner at the London Hilton on 21 October. Details from Anna Gosnell tel:(0171) 505 6662.
